Steps in painting a watercolor: "Off Duty at the I Bar"
My interview on WTOC, for my first book, includes a shot of my "Juliette Low" sculpture towards the end...
"Juliette Gordon Low".
As a personal challenge, I created this mixed media sculptures of Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of Girl Scouts, (GSUSA).
She has been seen at Girl Scout First Headquarters by about 10,000 visitors, and been on roadtrips to NC, FL, PA, and OH.
For the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouts, 2012, 'we' will be making several appearances along the East Coast.

* IN KENTUCKY AT:
Summer 2007, I painted this 12'x40' mural on our hangar door, and after a ride in EAA's B-17, this watercolor (much smaller scale than hangar door!). A few nice additions to my aviation art collection. The "Aluminum Overcast" was on display in the ASAA's International juried Aviation Art show in Seattle, WA, 2008. NEW! My entry into the ASAA's 2010 International Aerospace Art Exhibition that was on display at the San Diego Air & Space Museum San Diego, California June 6 - September 10, 2010. I am a member of Women Aviation Artists.
I do flat work in watercolor, acrylics, and pen & ink. I sculpt in clay (red, white, porcelain, stoneware); marble; wood;
and bronze. Prints of some of the airplanes and European Scenes are now available. Prices available on request. I also do commissions in watercolor of airplanes and homes.
I have several series as well as a few special pieces. Life-sized sculpture of Juliette Low Landscapes cloudscapes orchids still-lifes Scouting artwork, airplanes dragons dream scapes European memories European Journal,) sketches from one summer's vacation done on location and my old folk art style sculptures from up to 23 years ago as well as newer pieces. There is sometimes overlap between them: i.e. dragons and airplanes may coexist. Each series evolved in a different style...my watercolors are generally very detailed and controlled; while my acrylics range from extremely impressionistic (bordering on the abstract) to surreal. I CANNOT display some of my more intricate works and series due to the limitations of resolution and load times.
Large architectural ceramic installations. Latest update (2/2009) on triptych fountain project. Note, I have not yet made pieces overlaying top hose section.
