Unpatina'ed Bronzes

These are preliminary photos of my bronzes I've been promising I add for months! They are not yet finished in these photos...but getting a lot closer in real life.

They were done under the teaching of the bronze (and other media!) artist Whitney Wolf, using the lost wax method...that's why it took so long, I did it all from sculpture, through silicon mold, to wax, to ceramic shell, burn out, metal pour, die-grinding, sanding, sanding, sanding, polishing, polishing, patinas and lacquer.

Geez, no wonder it's A). expensive, and B). hardly no one does it anymore...except us masochists.
