For three years I brought my watercolors to Sun 'n Fun air show and painted a few of my favorite planes on the flight line. I decided to make a watercolor 'collage' (30" square) as I did of my husband Dave's Kitfox (which earned Honorable Mention at Oshkosh's Annual International Art Show).
It took close to three years to finish, working on it as I waited for each show to get more photos of items in the right colors, details, and variety to try and represent as many facets of the airshow experience as possible. It's here...from the corn roast to the fly market parts. This does not give you more than a hint of the actual detail of each section, it's close to photorealistic. Check out the Sun 'n Fun museum.
